Gray

Gray horses actually have a mixture of black and white hairs, sometimes with reddish brown hairs mixed in. Most gray horses are born black and gradually lighten with age as white hair replaces the black hair. By the age of ten years, the gray horse appears white, but is distinguished from a true white horse (which has pink skin) by its black skin and the gray around the joints of the legs and feet.
